• Accredited Appraiser Program (CA): www.canadianjewellers.com A multi-level, advanced jewellery valuers progamme focusing on education and compliance to a strict Code of Ethics. Accredited Appraiser and Lab Members are accepted in AIJV.

  American Society of Appraisers (US): www.appraisers.org An international organisation of appraisal professionals. ASA is the oldest and only major appraisal organisation representing all of the disciplines of appraisal specialists.

• Fédération Nationale d'Experts Spécialisés en Art (FR): www.fnepsa.fr An organisation of national cooperation between Experts, promoting a better understanding of the value, importance and techniques of the profession. Publications, conferences and tours for vocational training.

  Institute of Registered Valuers (UK): www.jewelleryvaluers.org The IRV is the principal valuer's organisation in the UK. Membership is open to Independent Valuers and Retail Jewellers. The IRV is administered by the National Association of Goldsmiths.

• International Society of Appraisers (US): www.isa-appraisers.org The mission of ISA is to advance the professionalism and effectiveness of personal property appraisers. Full, Accredited and Certified members are accepted by the AIJV.

  Jewellery Appraisers Society of New Zealand (NZ): www.jewelleryappraisers.org.nz All jewellery appraisal reports from a JASNZ Member are well researched and documented and conform to the standards as set down by the JASNZ Constitution and Rules

• Jewellery Valuers Society of New Zealand (NZ): www.jvsnz.co.nz Jewellery Valuers Society members hold formal Gemmological qualifications and are engaged in the valuation of gems and jewellery in New Zealand.

  MasterValuer Program (CA): www.mastervaluer.com Taught in Canada, England, Korea, Hong Kong, China and Singapore and in many languages. In the United States, the MVP is now taught exclusively through the California Institute of Jewelry Training - both in residence and through distance education.

• National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (US): www.najaappraisers.com The NAJA is the only association in the USA to be soley concerned with the appraisal and valuation of gems, diamonds and jewellery.

  National Council of Jewellery Valuers (AU): www.ncjv.com.au The NCJV is the only jewellery and fine arts valuation organisation in Australia. Membership is available to individuals who fulfill the education criteria and agree to abide by the Code of Ethics and recommended processes.

• Canadian Gemmological Association (CA): www.canadiangemmological.com Founded in 1958 the CGA is a professional organisation that has set the standard for excellence in the science and study of gemmology in Canada.

  Gemmological Association of Australia (AU): www.gem.org.au Established in 1945 to promote the scientific study of gemstones in industry relevant settings.

• Gemmological Association of Great Britain - Gem-A (UK): www.gem-a.com The world's longest established gemmological teaching organisation. Gem-A are committed to promoting the study of gems worldwide through education and membership.

  Gemological Institute of America (US): www.gia.edu GIA's mission is to ensure the public trust in gems by upholding the highest standards through education, research and laboratory services.

• Accredited Gemologists Association (US): www.accreditedgemologists.org A nonprofit organization dedicated to Gemological Education & Research, Identification & Evaluation of Gem Materials, Development of Professional Standards of Analysis, Practice & Ethics. Establishing the highest professional standards of practice.

  Association Française de Gemmologie (FR):www.afgemmologie-lyon.fr The Lyon Group of the French Association of Gemology aims to bring together enthusiasts of gems. It's for people who already have a basic knowledge and training in gemology.

• International Valuation Standards Council: www.ivsc.org IVSC is charged with developing robust and transparent procedures for performing international valuations through a single set of globally recognized valuation standards, acceptable to the world’s capital markets organisations market participants and regulators.

  Jewelers Ethics Association (US): www.jewelersethicsassociation.com The JEA was formed to benefit all aspects of the industry and consumers alike. To promote and uphold ethical standards within the jewelry and gemstone trade and promote businesses which uphold our standards. The JEA serves as a beacon that consumers may follow to companies they can trust.

• Scottish Gemmological Association (UK): www.scotgem.co.uk Lectures and practical workshops held throughout the year in Edinburgh. 3-day gemmological conference in Perth in May. A small, friendly association where all professionals, enthusiasts and academics are welcome.
